I decided to stop in Lampang while taking the bus from Phisanulok to Chiang Mai. It's a nice quiet town that is well know for it's horse drawn carts. Unfortunately, I somehow managed to not take any pictures of infamous horse carts...

Lampang city streetThe streets are very narrow, and not too busy.

Lampang city streetThere's a gate, sort of like a Chinatown gate, but it's definitely not Chinatown.

RiverIt's a typical small provincial town, like so many others I've been to. I think the flower thing in the middle of the river is from Loi Kratong.

RiverThe river, again.

Lampanf templeWhile walking around the city, I came across this temple complex.

Lampang templeIt is well kept, and not too busy.

Lampang signMany of the street signs around town have these little horse cart on top of them.

Lampang houseThere were several cute houses outside of town. I could live here.

Lampang templeWat Phra Kaew... but not the one you know in bangkok. I guess the Emerald Buddha spent some time here in the past.

Lampang town clockAnd at sunset, it was back to town.
